This is your typical one family steam heating gas boiler that is found in most homes up in age but steam boilers can last a life time with proper yearly service, But this boiler I was told by the home owner was serviced last three years ago and the owner just stpped calling to have it serviced because out of site out of mind untill the coldest day of the year it will be in your site when your freezing at 3 AM It hardly happens durring the day when most companys are working regular hours .

This is the same boiler as above we removed it and took it apart just to show thw home owner how important that a yearly service is ,If this boiler was serviced every year we would not have pictures to show you , The port that you see was for a presure control device that would shut the boiler down when it reach the proper presure to heat the home as you can see  this port was so badly cloged that it did not funtion properly and the boiler over heated it self and cracked good thing for the home owners that was all that happened .
